3 large red pears

1 T flour (GF 1 for 1 ok)

1 tsp Spiva Cooking Pumpkin Spice

3 T sugar

1 T lemon juice

Topping-

¼ cup flour (GF 1 for 1 ok)

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup almond flour

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tsp sea salt

½ tsp Spiva Cooking Pumpkin Spice

1 tsp baking powder

5 T unsalted butter, cut in pieces

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Peel the red pears and then cut them into bite sized pieces.
  3. Mix together the cut pears, 1 T flour, 1 tsp pumpkin spice, 3 T sugar, and 1 T lemon juice.
  4. Add the filling to a 8×8 square baking dish.
  5. In a food processor, grind the rolled oats until they are coarse crumbs.
  6. Add the flour, almond flour, brown sugar, sea salt, pumpkin spice, and baking powder and process until combined well.
  7. Add the butter pieces to the food processor and pulse until pea-sized crumbs form.
  8. Top the pear filling mixture with an even layer of the topping.
  9. Bake the dish for 25-30 minutes. You want the mixture to be bubbling on the outer edges and the topping to be golden brown.
